Missoula - Andaconda - Phillipsburg, Via The Northwest Passage, Day-2

Well the second day was eventful, a long story short what should have been maybe an hour turned into 5 hours. However, we did get the truck beefed-up by Tim-the-tool-man. The numbers are as follow for those of you that know what this means, was 800 lbs-ft, now 860 lbs-ft. Also, was 275 HP and it is now 300 HP.

We then proceeded on a venture to Anaconda and then on to Philipsburg. Anaconda is an old copper mining town from the 1880's, more on Anaconda can be seen here. The route on U.S. Highway 10A to Philipsburg was very scenic, see pictures below. Philipsburg is a old town with lots of it's buildings restored and still in use today, as is the 1880's jail. The roots of the area started as a booming mining town in the late 1800's. We bought candy at the candy store and ate buffalo meatloaf at the on drugstore/soda-fountain.

We finished our day back in Missoula, MT spending the night and returning home on day three, back along the Lochsa River and a side trip to a place I will tell you about in the day 3 chapter.
