This is an update to the Montgomery City, Missouri, Lazy Day Campground stay. On Sunday the temperature went to the mid fifties. We where able to get out and go to the “30th Annual Hermann Wurstfest”. We started out with going to the "The crowd-pleasing Wiener Dog Derby starts Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Hermann City Park. Dachshunds are invited to enter in relay races, costume contests and more."
We saw about 50 to 60 Dachshunds, of all shapes and sizes. After this we went to the sausage tasting event and tasted about 50 taste of sausage from about 6 different vendors. We wound up buying three packs fro three different vendors. We then went back to the site and got ready for the morning departure, filling propane tanks and so-forth. Monday morning we departed Lazy Day Campground to head for Wichita, KS.
