Cripple Creek Colors and Base Planes

Today we went to the town of Cripple Creek and then took some photos at the U.S. Air Force Academy as well. Cripple Creek get it's heritage from Gold Mining and Outlaws. Today however, it is a casino town, because the outlaws are gone. However, a few of the miners burros still roam freely in the streets. Next stop is the Afghanistan, Iraq War Memorial Mt Pisgah Cemetery Cripple Creek, CO in honor of the fallen since 9-11.

We are now returning to U.S. Air Force Academy base to take a picture or two of the planes.

Well, in the morning (20Sept10) we will be leaving the air base and heading for Durango and Silverton, CO. Silverton is my most favorite place that I have yet to be, it is like the Swiss Alps. We hope to take the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Train. We will keep you up to date.

Later, Danny, Kathie and Kle
