Anza-Borrego Desert State Park

On January 4th, we took a 225 mile round trip loop drive which took us through Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and to the town east of there called Salton City.

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is the second largest state park in the United States. The word Borrego is Spanish word for bighorn sheep. We did not see any though.

The Salton Sea is just a short drive from the eastern border of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. At this point we where at the lowest point on planet earth, it is 226 feet below sea level.
