Leaving Lake Wales, FL
On Monday the 23rd of June we will be leaving
Lake Wales, FL and heading north. Our first stop will be Camp Blanding which is
outside of Starke, FL. We will be here about a week to visit with friends in
St. Augustine, Earleton, and West Jacksonville. We will then head north to
Calhoun, GA to visit friends here as well and have some shoe build-up work done
at my favorite shoe repair. We will stay here a week or maybe two. Then it is
on to Hayesville, North Carolina to visit with my sister who lives there, as well
as Kathie’s parents. My sister from Charleston, SC will come over to visit at
this time. We will not be making it to Newfoundland, Canada this year, because
of the later departure from Florida. From Hayesville, NC we will more than likely
get on the Blue Ridge Parkway and follow it to Waynesboro, VA where it then
become the Skyline Drive. We use to live in Roanoke, VA so we will spend some
time there and visit. From VA we will head on to PA and look up a military
friend if I can find him. After this I am not sure where we will go next. We
will at some time head south to get back to Bryan’s RV Service Center to have
some more work done before heading south to South Bay for the winter. South Bay
is on the south end of Lake Okeechobee, it is near Belle Glade.
