After leaving the Black Hills of South Dakota going to Florida

Not a whole lot in the photo department as happened since we left the Mount Rushmore area.  After leaving the Ellsworth Air Force Base and staying in the campground Ellsworth AFB FamCamp in Box Elder, SD we headed to Monroe City, MO to Mark Twain Landing Campground.

This is where we work camped from the last week of June until the second week of September, and visited with friends. After leaving MTL we headed to Hayesville, NC, with stop along the way at Scott’s Air Force Base staying in the campground Scott AFB FamCamp in IL, and Fort Campbell staying in the campground  Destiny Parks and Pavillion in TN.

Along the way in Lowe’s parking lot in Mount Vernon, IL, we had someone clip the side of the trailer.

We spent about 8 days in Hayesville area visiting, my sister lives here. From NC we went south to Calhoun, GA to visit with friends here. We stayed in Harvest Moon RV Park for a week, before heading to the Charleston, SC area to visit with my other sister. Here we stayed at the Charleston Naval Weapons Station staying in the campground  Foster Creek RV Park and Villas for a week before heading south to Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.

We stayed at Kings Bay Naval Sub Base for a week, staying in the campground Eagle Hammock RV Park. This was one of the nicest military campground we have stayed at.

View of Lake from Campground at Kings Bay, we saw no Alligators even though there are suppose to be some in there.
After a week here we went on to Mayport, FL this is the home of Naval Station Mayport and is the base I served out of while aboard ship during my service time.
We stayed at the Pelican Roost RV Park staying here for a week and visiting friends in the area both Jacksonville and Saint Augustine. Below are views from campground at Naval Station Mayport.

From here we went to Camp Blanding National Guard Post staying at James E. Johnson Memorial RV Park to visit with friends in this area.

Then it was on south to Apopka which is just northwest of Orlando. We were here visiting with friend and helping them get their daughter's new home cleaned and ready for her to move in. After a week here we went to Lake Wales to have the side of the RV fixed. We have been in Lake Wales, FL for 10 days now and will be here until about the 20th of December. We are having the side of the trailer fixed because of the lady in IL. While we are here at Bryan’s Auto, Truck & RV Collision Repair Center, we are also going to have the truck painted.

Today we went to see the Bok Tower Gardens with it's singing tower. Bok Tower Gardens is a botanical garden and bird sanctuary, located north of Lake Wales, Florida. It consists of a 250-acre garden, the 205-foot tall Singing Tower with its carillon bells, Pine Ridge Trail, Pinewood Estate, and a visitor center. The tower is built upon Iron Mountain, one of the highest points of peninsular Florida, estimated to be 295 feet above sea level. It is a National Historic Landmark that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

While in the area we went to Spook Hill also. Spook Hill is a gravity hill (an optical illusion where cars appear to roll up the spooky hill) in Lake Wales, Florida.
