Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Oct 2 to Oct 10. We went on the first day of the event, which may not have been the best idea. We got up at 04:30 and was on the road by 05:00. We got to the exit in Albuquerque and the traffic was backed up for 3 miles. It took us from 06:00 until 08:00 to get off the interstate and parked. All the general admission park was full, we found a medical office parking lot and the attendant said we could park there. We then went to the Balloon Ground and walked about five miles. We got some good shots. The announcer said there was 80,000 people there and 800 balloons. There where also lots of vendors, like going to a fair. When we entered the grounds I asked where the handicapped parking was and there comments was it was full by 04:00, my god what did these people do camp there. We had great weather as you can see by the pictures and the temperature was about 65 degrees.
